Five persons have been killed and eight others injured in a road accident that occurred at Emure-Ile along Owo-Akure road in Owo Local Government area of Ondo.ADVERTISEMENT
Vehicles involved were Peugeot J5 Commercial Bus marked Lagos LSR 855 XF and a DAF 75 truck marked Lagos AKD 880 XX.A spokesman for the Ondo Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Omotola Ogungbawo, said the accident was caused by speed violation and loss of concentration by the drivers. She said the injured sustained leg and head injuries and were taken to the Federal Medical Centre , Owo while the remains of the deceased were deposited at the mortuary of the same hospital.
