A storey-building located off University of Ibadan Second Gate area was on Wednesday destroyed by fire.

Occupants of the nearby buildings were said to have called the fire fighters, even as men of the Federal Fire Services as well as their state counterparts responded to the distress call.

The firemen joined efforts and fought the fire which raged through the roof and destroyed parts of the building. Some of the rooms and the roof of the buildings were destroyed by the fire but the firefighters battled the inferno until it was put out and prevented from destroying the entire building.
