FG slams fresh criminal charges, N300m bail on Emefiele

Former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria , Godwin Emefiele , yesterday, entered his plea at the Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, on fresh criminal charges brought against him by the Federal Government.Former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria , Godwin Emefiele , yesterday, entered his plea at the Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, on fresh criminal charges brought against him by the Federal Government.

At yesterday’s proceedings, the CBN former governor pleaded not guilty to the charges and prayed the court for bail. The bond includes two sureties, who must be owners of landed property within Maitama and the original document submitted to the court. A Consultant Psychiatrist at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital , Dr Adegbite Temilade, has appealed to the Federal Government to enhance mental health service care in the country towards fostering an enabling environment for the good mental health and general wellness of Nigerians.

As part of its efforts towards ensuring sustainable development and environmental conservation, the Federal Government, through the National Council on Climate Change, has endorsed a revolutionary initiative aimed at addressing the global climate crisis, environmental challenges and improving livelihoods across the nation.
