FG plans to borrow N1.6tn in 2019 —DMO React to this

The Director-General, Debt Management Office, Ms Patience Oniha, has said the Federal Government plans to borrow N1.6tn to fund the 2019 budget.

According to her, about N1.6tn has been set for borrowing in 2019, and the government adopted a 50:50 approach to spread its borrowing between international and local borrowings. The experts, who spoke during a panel session on the capital market agenda for the next four years, said there was a need for the capital market to set an agenda for the government.

Always borrowing

...of the budget, I'm afraid the money might not be put to good use.

I, for one, take the view that it's appropriate for the Federal government to finance the 2019 budget through borrowing. This is due to the fact that if the Federal government were to seek other alternatives such as ordering the central bank to provide the fund for the financing.

Are we still borrowing?

Naa small money now... Pizza money.. Nigeria big pass that amount...if possible they can borrow 999.999.999 trillions...😁😁😁

Any plans to reduce the cost of governance and bogus political expenditure? It is never innovative traveling a familiar road all the time.

Borrow borrow make me rich govt....Shameeeee!

Where are the moneys efcc retain from the lunters last four years

PMB and APC are proficient borrowers.

So the borrowing continues with no plan or frame work to payback what is owed. Are they thinking of how to utilise the every resources within the country to become self sustaining?

Wetin concern me...

If for verifiable infrastructure roll out that is ok otherwise, it is unnecessary.

Which kind government is this?abi osibanjo has shared trader Moni finished ni..
