FG plans N97 per litre fuel for common man

The Federal Government has revealed plans are underway to provide alternative petrol -Compressed Natural Gas – for the common man that will cost between N95 to N97 per litre. The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, stated these to reporters in Abuja on Thursday.

“That is transport vehicles for example, out of the PMS loop to be using the CNG. CNG cost less that the subsidised PMS. Per liter the subsidized rate of the PMS is N145 per litre. CNG will cost about N95 to N97 per litre.”Asked to comment on the $62b court settlement payment that Nigeria is expecting from the IoC, he explained that the process is such a cumbersome one to analyse because it was a long time that $20 per barrel ceased to be a windfall.

With the passage of the bill, the minister said that the incorporation of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and its Joint Ventures will become possible.

How would they define common in this context? Especially in a country where comprehensive database is lacking. In little or no time through manipulation from the main players the uncommon becomes common and the common becomes uncommon. Vise versa.

South West plans legal action as FG declares Amotekun illegalLegal action in which Court? Do they need a prophet to tell them what the court will say 😂 These people really played their cards well... The best way to go but I hope they tidied up all loose end from the start. I think the various houses of assembly and AGs should have worked on this scenario earlier and ensure that the states houses of assembly passed the bills before the launch of this unique outfit.
