The Federal Government and organised labour have reached an agreement on the implementation of the new minimum wage after days of talks that ran through nights and ended in the wee hours of the morning.
At a meeting which started around 7pm on Thursday and ended after 2am on Friday, both sides finally agreed on the percentage increase for grade levels seven to 17.Grade level seven=23 percent, level 8=20 percent, level 9=19 percent, level 10 -14=16 percent, level 15-17=14 percent. The meeting also increased the salaries of military and paramilitary officers, but the percentages were kept confidential.
According to the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, the details of the increase will be communicated to the military and paramilitary organisations through the appropriate channels.
We hope it is the final time. Allah bless the country.
I strongly feel Labour is negotiating from a weak position reason behind d lingering negotiations. Government interference in d leadership of NLC & poor funding of NLC by members is seriously affecting labour movement in Nigeria
When level 5 is reciving 29,600.
They will soon pay salary for this month, we shall see
They are always reaching agreement but never paying
Minister show ur boys love.
minimumWage well I rather find a way out of this country before I lose all my potentials, country where old fools in government e.g senators earns over 14million you idiots are busy celebrating N30,000. Am out....
How many times are we going to hear this unimplemented agreement.
Funny country with a govt like a devil that gives with the left hand and took it back with the right hand. Dr. Chris Ngigi & his team busy negotiating with Labour leaders for a possible workers pay increase, Buhari, minister of finance & CBN is busy increasing VAT to take it back
APC administration Na scam
Conglatulations to Nlc and nig Govt 4promt resolution of the minimum wage dispute.pmb has demonstrated once again his commitment to the warfare of workers .

Who dey fool who?. Padi padi agreement. Non of d party is representing d general public interest. We should be talking about reducing d cost of governance if dey can afford d requested amount. At d end of the day u add 15k to my salary tax n inflation takes 21k, am i better off.
Implantation speaks louder than written agreements.

Hope implementation is immediate? FG, should learn to be proactive and not allow things to almost a fight or show down before they use their sense.
Naso story for d gods
I will only believe when its implemented ... Nonsense Nigeria
This is good news. What next? Implementation?
What next ?!.
It is shame that in a country where the politicians are making fortunes out of the economy, poor civil servants are bearing the pain of their greed.
It only depends on the implementation of the said agreements
