The family of Sylvester Oromoni, the late 12-year-old pupil of Dowen College, Lagos has said the family is not endorsing any protest at the school's premises. Events surrounding the death of the 12-year-old attracted public outrage on social media, with many Nigerians calling for a protest at the school gate while some urged parents to withdraw their children from the school.
“But if people want to stand in solidarity with us the family, it's fine. WE ARE NOT GIVING A GO-AHEAD FOR A PROTEST. The OROMONI family will follow this to a logical conclusion. Thank you and God bless.” According to him, the deceased mentioned the names of five persons responsible for the pain before he finally gave up the ghost on Tuesday.
Subsequently, the student complained of having pains in his hip and was attended to again, this time by a doctor and a nurse and thereafter taken to his house, the statement said.
The parents should sue the school and ensure it remains closed forever

I don't buy this. People coming to protest against this is not only about the college but to pour out and express our feelings towards govt injustice and corruption.
Parents should even be the frontliners of this protest..and they are silent about it...your child could be next! Speak up for justice!
