The incident happened on Friday in the Mapara Makogi area of Ibafo in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state.
Oyeyemi said in a statement that men of the state police command had arrested the suspect, who is a friend of the victim’s family, for having unlawful carnal knowledge of the girl. Oyeyemi said, “The arrest of the suspect followed a report by the victim at the Ibafo Police Station that Olawoyin, who is a family friend, came to their house on the said date around 1.30pm, asking for her parents.
