A combined team of detectives attached to the Criminal Investigation Department , Airport Command, and Aviation Security of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria have arrested 5 suspected syndicates which specialise in forging fake Covid-19 certificates.
The syndicates include: Archibong Idorenyin, 34 years owner of DAT cybercafe who is alleged to forge the virological screening test results; Abdulmalik Ibrahim and Moses Sunday who are staff of DAT Internet Cafe. The other suspect is Popoola Adewale of Patovilki Airport cleaning services. According to the Airport Police Command, they are also the ones luring passengers to the airport where various sums are extorted from them. In this case, N50, 000 .
