The leading global digital services provider, Facebook, is seeking a partnership with the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC), to enhance digital culture.

A statement to PREMIUM TIMES on Thursday, said the partnership will strengthen connectivity and enhance businesses.

Mr Ba added that Nigeria is very important to Facebook for many reasons, but particularly because it is Africa’s most populous country. The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of NCC, Umar Danbatta, who spoke through the deputy director technical standards and network Integrity at NCC, Edoyemi Ogoh, commended the group for the model it has adopted in participating in the Nigerian market by partnering with licensees of the Commission.

Mr Ogoh also informed the guests that President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent re-designation of NCC’s supervising ministry as Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy speaks further to federal government’s commitment to encouraging more citizens to embrace digital culture.
