The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Adesina Soyemi on Thursday, presented cheques worth over N22 million to families of deceased

In a statement issued and forwarded to DAILY POST by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ramhan Nansel, the CP presented the cheques on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Baba Alkali.

The statement reads, “The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Adesina Soyemi, had today September 23, 2021, on behalf of the Inspector-general of Police, IGP Usman Baba Alkali, psc, fdc, NPM presented cheques worth Twenty-two million, Seven hundred and Twenty-six thousand, Nine hundred naira and Eighty-three kobo to fifteen families of deceased Police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

“Not that alone, the gesture is also aimed at boosting the morale of all Police officers in the country in order to spur them to do more in protecting the territorial integrity of Nigeria thereby, reclaiming public space from criminal elements as their welfare is of utmost importance to the current administration of the Force.
