A former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps , Brig.-Gen. Maharazu Ismail Tsiga , on Monday hailed the incumbent NYSC boss, Brig.-Gen. Shaibu Ibrahim, for re-establishing area offices for the scheme.Tsiga spoke when the Katsina State NYSC Coordinator Ahidjo Yahaya paid him a Sallah homage during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration in his home town of Tsiga.
The ex-DG expressed disappointment about the earlier decision to disband the area offices, saying he fought hard to establish them but that they were cancelled after he left office.
