June 18, 2023 3:40 PMMohammed Sani, former executive chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure , has asked President Bola Tinubu to prioritise homegrown technology to hasten the nation’s development.

Speaking at a reception held in his honour in Keffi, Nasarawa state, by the Coalition of Youth Groups, Sani said it is important for the new administration to focus on sustainable industrial development. “The determination of His Excellency, Mr. President to populate his cabinet with competent professionals with proven track records is undoubtedly a renewal of hope for the nation,” he said.

“I urge Jagaban to prioritise the implementation of home-grown Science, Technology and Innovation as well as capacity and skill acquisition and development. This is the only way for sustainable industrial development contained in his Renew Hope Agenda.”into law to help youths access interest-free loans and quality education.

“This demonstrates Mr. President’s love for the youth and understanding of the role of education in nation building.”
