Former Adamawa Governor Murtala Nyako and a former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, have revalidated their membership of All Progressives Congress with a justification of the exercise.
Nyako, who was Governor between 2007 and 2014, and Adamu Garba, a presidential aspirant of the APC in 2019, told newsmen in Yola the APC needs the ongoing revalidation exercise to re-establish itself.
“You know how politics work out in our country. We do not have stable political party membership, with people jumping from one party to another. That’s why we end up with this membership revalidation,” Nyako said.Garba, at his revalidation centre in his ward at Karewa, Jimeta in Yola North LGA, expressed similar opinion, affirming the decision by the APC to have the exercise conducted is a well thought out one.
Garba, who was one of the youngest Nigerians who sought to be President in 2019 and is still under 40, urged youths to use the capturing of new and old members of the APC to remain or get into the party. “This country is for us youths. Come into the APC and let’s work together to get a better country for ourselves,” Adamu Garba said.
