DAILY POST reported that Acho Obioma was announced the winner of the just concluded state congress of the All Progressive Congress after he polled 298 votes to defeat four other contestants for the position of Abia Chairmanship seat of the party.
The committee chairman further disclosed that a total number of 24 void votes was recorded during the congress. Obioma disclosed that he never campaigned to be chairman of the APC for one day, but he devoted all his time in canvassing for more people to join the party, so that the APC can gain strength and survive in Abia.
He thanked immensely the outgoing APC state chairman for giving him the opportunity to contest the election, and further reiterated to consolidate on the laudable gains recorded by the outgoing executive committee of the party in Abia state
