Guardian Life met up with Eriakha Edgar for a quick chat on his brand, content creation and social media

My full name is Eriakha Oseiwe Edgar. I am from Edo state, Nigeria. I studied Performing Arts at the University of Lagos. I am a content creator, voice actor, standup comic, and a brand Influencer. I have featured in movies, short films, sketches, and different podcasts. I often say Edgar doesn’t lie. That’s the biggest lie in the world. There is beauty behind the madness. I have always loved comedy. Skits serve as a way of documenting my thoughts at the time.

Before the pandemic hit, I was writing content. When the pandemic happened, I had to look for a way to create content at home, in my space. It was difficult but then I knew my only option was to create social experiments over the phone. I did some quick maths and started the series titled Phone pranks.

Yes, it has. A lot of times. I see my content sometimes like the CIA. The pranks are real, people pay a lot of money to get it done. Some pranks end with laughter while others leave my mouth open for days. At the end of the day I am prepared for whatever, with God, my lawyer, and a pinch of luck, I would be fine. The game of social media is all about impacts and numbers. I respect every creative doing great.
