Keane snubbed the likes of Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp and Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel as he named Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola as the best manager in the Premier League.“I remember we did a game last year, I did not write off Man City but I think I said they lost their mojo,” Keane said on Sky Bet’s Driving Home for Christmas.
“It doesn’t necessarily mean Liverpool or Chelsea can’t pip them to the title, but I think Pep [Guardiola] is the man, I look at all of the managers I think Pep is the man.” When asked by former Man City defender Micah Richards whether he thinks Guardiola is the best manager, Keane continued: “I do. “People say he’s got the best players, but you still have to manage them, you still have to find a style of play and if you are going to pick a team to watch it is going to be Manchester City are not you.”
Guardiola has won three English Premier League titles at Man City since joining the club from Bayern Munich in 2016.
