Former Manchester United player, Phil Neville has warned the Red Devils over signing Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer transfer window.
Man United have been heavily linked with a move to sign Kane, who has always insisted he wants to win silverwares. Neville, who is currently the coach of Inter Miami, believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side should not sign Kane, insisting that they already have Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani.
“Obviously, long-term you would have a think about the best players in the world at this moment in time, you think about Lewandowski, Kane, Mbappe, but it is going to be difficult to prise those players away from their clubs.“I think if you bring in somebody like Harry Kane, you are also blocking the path for somebody like Mason Greenwood, who I think is one of the best finishers in the game.
“Ultimately, United have to create a pathway for Mason Greenwood to actually become the number nine. He is going to be the number nine without a shadow of a doubt – he is the best finisher at that club.
