Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has predicted Manchester City to win the 2021-22 Premier League title ahead of Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool. But Merson believes Pep Guardiola’s men will retain the English top-flight league title.

He told Sportskeeda, “I strongly believe this could be one of the tightest ones [Premier League title races] in recent memory. “Man City, Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool can all win the title – that is a four-way battle for the Premier League crown and I do not expect any of them to run away with it by a margin of double-digit points.

“Some might say Manchester City winning the Premier League title is not exactly a bold prediction, but as I said earlier, four teams could win it. “We could witness one of the closest [Premier League] title races in ages, but I expect Man City to come out on top this season.”
