The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has insisted that officers of the Nigeria Police Force acted professionally and exercised commendable restraints during the recent protests and ensuing violence in some parts of the country.
Speaking further, the IGP noted that the report only covered casualties on the side of protesters, describing it as ‘discriminatory’ because the police likewise recorded several casualties. “Two hundred and five Police stations and formations including other critical private and public infrastructure were also damaged by a section of the protesters,” the statement read.

I guess the videos circulating of the officers gunning down protesters around the streets is his definition of exercising restraint. This falls short of international best practices and should be condemned. EndSARS

We have the video of 'Gba kò jè, the DPO of one of the police station virtually spraying AK47 rounds at protesters with his men. We even have a video where one of the stone throwing protesters picked up a stone to throw in their direction, only to take one in the head! EndSARS
