Personnel of the Nigeria Police Force on Friday dispersed Nigerians who took the #EndSARS protest to the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja.
In some videos circulating online, some armed policemen chased the protesters who marched on the Central Area of Abuja. However, it could not be ascertained if there was any fatality at the time of filing this report. On Thursday, activists, Deji Adeyanju and Aisha Yesufu, and the publisher of Sahara Reporters Omoyele Sowore led the protesters in the nation’s capital.
What an irony. The govt is insensitive to the plight of the people.
They are reporting because BBCBreaking and BBCAfrica has already reported the situation live
These officers and men of the NGPoliceForce like exposing their frivolity to the course of nation building. Why suppressing protest? The Police started all these, now citizens are responding and they're out against them. The next stage will be a demand for scrapping of NGPOLICE
SARS should be reformed not banned. Nigeria is dangerously unsafe. While SARS can be rabidly overzealous, we shouldn’t throw the baby out with the bath water.
They also shot at them, why are you hiding that
All these police attitudes will only bring more people out to join the protest
Watching videos of EndSARS is really heartbreaking.. 💔 Please *EndSARS*⚠️ *EndNPF*⚠️ *EndNIGERIA*⚠️ Let's start again. ☯️ We need to reload Nigeria. ♻️
