The Osun, Plateau and Kaduna state governments have imposed fresh curfews on their states as part of security measures to contain the violence and looting perpetrated by hoodlums who took advantage of theGovernor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State on Saturday imposed a fresh 24-hour curfew on the state, noting that the step was to prevent anarchy and looting of government and private properties.
Oyetola, in a state broadcast in Osogbo, said the fresh curfew was to prevent the situation from degenerating into a large-scale breakdown of law and order. Oyetola said, “This inevitable conclusion was reached to avert the continuation of this irresponsible act, especially, now that the genuine protesters have suspended their protest earlier today.
In Jos, Lalong said, “Some hoodlums broke into the warehouses where palliatives delivered to the state by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development last week were stored and awaiting distribution and carted them away. In Kaduna, the state government also on Saturday imposed a curfew in some communities in Kaduna South and Chikun local government areas of the state.
Taraba State imposed curfew in Jalingo Taraba State too. Add that to the list. Be current and broad
