End SARS protest: Gov Ikpeazu to address Abia residents over unrest

The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, will deliver a special broadcast to the people of Abia State this evening at 6pm.

This was contained in a terse release issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka, on Wednesday evening. The release enjoined All media organizations in the State to hook up to the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State for the special broadcast. This is coming on the heels of mass protests by Abia residents against the brutality of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, which resulted in the destruction of lives and property in the State.

Recall that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu had earlier on Monday, inaugurated a Judicial Panel of Inquiry to investigate the demands of the End SARS protesters.
