The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has won the Tudun Wada/Doguwa federal constituency seat of Kano State.

Doguwa was declared winner following the Saturday’s supplementary election held in some polling units of the constituency.

The Independent National Electoral Commission returning officer, Professor Sani Ibrahim, announced the results, saying Doguwa of the All Progressives Congress got 41, 573 votes to eventually win the election. His closest opponent and the New Nigeria Peoples Party flagbearer, Yushau Salisu, polled 34,831 votes while the Peoples Democratic Party candidate got 2,111 votes.

LEADERSHIP recalls that Doguwa was earlier announced winner of the February 25 National Assembly elections before INEC rescinded its decision, saying the Returning Officer for the constituency announced Doguwa winner under duress.

IPOB said that the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu as the courts had ordered will 'avoid doomsday.' SaharaReporters had reported that Buhari's government through its security agencies in collaboration with the Kenyan government arrested and renditioned IPOB leader to Nigeria in June 2021. No be only doomsday.. And they're back.😂 Any person with good head, wil understand where this is coming from & where it's headed to. Try 2 use IPOB to cause confusion before or on May 29th, then either way pin it on OBI or IGBO'S. But surprise surprise somebody won't be standing fit before & that day. All will FAIL
