The Kaduna House of Assembly indicted El-Rufai and his commissioners of corruption and financial mismanagement over his past eight years in office.El-Rufai served as Kaduna State governor from 2015 to 2023.
The committee, led by Henry Zacharia, presented a report alleging that loans obtained by the el-Rufai administration were not used for their intended purposes and that many projects were not awarded through a fair process.El-Rufai’s media aide Muyiwa Adekeye in a statement said the former governor was at the Federal High Court, Kaduna, to sign the affidavit supporting his fundamental rights enforcement case against the Kaduna State House of Assembly and the Kaduna State Government.
