The first lady of Ekiti state, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji launched the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project to improve the education of young girls in the state.

The governor’s wife, while acknowledging the advocacy and awareness campaign of the project and her office, disclosed that no fewer than 100 secondary schools in the state would receive laptops and other intervention projects. “Today, 910 laptops will be distributed to 35 secondary schools and additional 1,690 will be distributed to 65 secondary schools in the next two months.”

Afuye said: “I enjoin AGILE to carry out serious advocacy on unwanted teenage pregnancy among our girls. I implore our secondary schools girls to take good advantage of what this programme offers.
