Ekiti communities agog as foremost educationist, Bayode, goes home

Chief Bayode, former President, All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools , Ondo State, passed on in January. He was 82. On Wednesday, family members and friends, Christ’s School community, as well as well-wishers will converge on Christ’s School premise in Ado-Ekiti for a night of tributes in honour of the departed ‘Old Boy’ and former principal. His body will be received on April 22 by past and present principals of Christ’s School at the school premises after which his body would be laid in-state at his residence in Ado-Ekiti before proceeding to his hometown, Ikere-Ekiti.His body would later be interred at the church’s cemetery. Several dignitaries, including the Ekiti State governor, Dr KayodeFayemi, as well as thousands of his former students whose lives he positively impacted, are expected at the events.
