The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested 37 suspected Internet fraudsters in Oyo State.
The suspects were arrested at various locations in Ibadan, the state capital, and Oyo town, by operatives of the Ibadan zonal command of the agency. The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed this in a statement on Monday. The anti-graft agency’s spokesman explained that the suspects were arrested on Friday following intelligence on their alleged involvement in Internet fraud.
The suspects include Kehinde Ayoola, Adewale Samson, Adeniran Ayobami, Abiodun Olamide, Olaoye Bolarinwa, Ajibade Ayodeji, Babalola David, Fatunbi Oludotun, Abdusalam Ololade, Taiwo Olaoluwa and Oyewole Fred.
