Officials of the Port Harcourt Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have announced the arrest of 27 suspected oil bunkers.

In a statement, the Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, said the suspects were arrested in a random raid conducted by the EFCC last weekend at Ahoada East and West Local Government Areas of Rivers State.

The statement disclosed that large quantities of products suspected to be illegally- refined Automotive Gas Oil were found with them. Uwujaren said as at the time of the arrest, 20 jerry cans and 25 litres of the products, stored in drums and tanks were ready for onward transportation to various locations, before they were intercepted.
