Edo Guber: Accord Party confirms Kennedy Iyere as its governorship candidate

The party, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Joseph Omorogbe, also urged its members and the general public to disregard what it describes as misleading information by its Deputy governorship candidate, Bright Enabulele, that he is now the flagbearer. The Accord Party's leadership said it is alarmed by a recent statement from Enabulele, who, in an interview with the media falsely claimed to be the governorship candidate for the 2024 Edo Gubernatorial election.

The party said, however, that it is imperative to clarify that Iyere rightfully holds that position, having emerged from the party's primaries on February 17, 2024, adding that his candidacy has been duly registered on the portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. The party maintained that Bright Enabulele, on the other hand, is rightfully listed as Comrade Iyere’s running mate.
