The Ebonyi State Police Command has confirmed the killing of three police officers on duty by unknown gunmen.
The source further said that the policemen were on the roadblock for the routine stop and search when the gunmen stormed the place and opened fire on them, killing 3 of the men immediately. However, corpses of the slain policemen have been deposited at a mortuary in Abakaliki after they were confirmed dead by doctors.
