Siasia chose Vincent Enyeama, Nigeria’s most-capped goalkeeper, who won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013, as his first-choice goalkeeper. Enyeama’s record and performances with the Super Eagles made him the ideal candidate over 1994 AFCON and World Cup hero Peter Rufai.Nigeria line-up before the 1996 Olympic Games final against Argentina. Okechukwu Uche and Taribo West are Siasia’s all-time favourite central defensive pair.

For the forward line, Siasia, who scored 17 times for the Super Eagles, selected Emmanuel Amunike and Finidi George for the left and right flanks, respectively. Both players have a rich history with the Super Eagles and played key roles in Nigeria’s footballing success. As the center-forward, Siasia picked Rashidi Yekini, Nigeria’s all-time leading goalscorer and a 1994 AFCON winner. This choice underscores Yekini’s impact and goal-scoring prowess.
