When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the accident.
Akinbiyi said, “I learned the truck was inbound Sagamu Interchange from Abeokuta when the crash happened and learned that the truck was also loaded with cassava when the unfortunate incident happened. However, no casualties were recorded in the unfortunate incident.” He stressed that passersby and the truck owners had commenced efforts to clear the cassava off the road to give way to traffic.
