The Ekiti State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Segun Dipe, tells ABIODUN NEJO that the council election was free, fair and adjudged credibleThe election went the way we had anticipated. In APC, we actually worked for it, we planned for it and we sacrificed for it. I can tell you, we are on course. If you look at what has been happening, you will see that APC is a party that has its tentacles all over the state.

The election was free and fair. Every party that participated in the election accepted it as the freest and fairest election and if you compare it with what we had in the 2019 LG poll, you will see that more people voted this time around. The cries of the PDP are predictable because the PDP today, even among the lesser parties, is the most disorganised party. It is in disarray because it has no system, no structure, no secretariat and no executive members.

My answer will be that if they had wanted to participate, which faction of the PDP would have participated? Is it the Fayose faction, Olujimi faction, Eleka group or Oni group? How can they have a common candidate that they are going to support? The PDP is broken into smithereens right now. They don’t have that power to even say they want to present a candidate.
