The Lagos State Police Command on Monday disclosed that a dispatch rider, Williams Tadule, got the consent of one Lovina Biturs to take her 10-month-old baby away. The police, in a statement, added that the rider wanted to go pick up something in the neighbourhood and the baby’s uncontrollably cries won’t let his mother be.
The statement read, “On 11th March, 2022, a video of a dispatch rider accused of concealing a suspected stolen child in a courier box went viral on the social media, causing apprehension. “In compliance with the directive, investigation was initiated which led to the discovery of the scene. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the child was not stolen after all and that he was not kept in the courier box as alleged by the mob.
“Passersby who saw the child with the rider along Sangotedo area, Ajah on the said day, became suspicious and concluded that the child might have been stolen, raised the alarm which attracted a mob. The mob subsequently pounced on the rider, beating him without finding out the truth.
Yorùbá bọ̀ wọ́n ní ; orí yéye níí m'ògún tàìṣẹ̀ ló pọ̀. Upon all the beatings, slapping, public disgrace, he was an innocent man.
Whatever the stories, the rider still need to face law. why having 10 month baby on a delivery ride? o start to imaging how the guy drive, and the mother on the other side is careless. how on earth will you allow someone carry your baby on bike, like that.
The dispatch rider should really thank God for escape naija jungle justice
See why jungle justice is not the way
Agitated werey crowd make unna dey take am easy ooo
I watched the video where the mother and the business owner of the dispatch rider were saying that bloggers intend to spoil her business name. They are suppose to be thanking the public for being at alert. What if it was a real kidnapper? Some mothers are just stupid.
I have no issues with the story. I took my time to read through the article. But my question is, 'Where was the baby?' With the rider in front or where?
This story sounds weird .. a mother put her 10 months old baby on an okada ride just to stop him from crying

Ten months old baby on a bike? How did the dispatch rider hold the baby while riding if it was not in the courier box?
Hmnnnnn.
The government should take the baby from that mother. No sane Mother will put her own baby in a Delivery Box. She should be apprehend and interrogate, and if her story is legit then she need Mental Evaluation.
The dispatch rider should thank his stars this didn't happen in Aba or Onitsha... He would have been in hell dancing skelewu... We need to reorient Nigerians about mob action, a lot of innocence people have been victims.
God!!! This man would have been a dead man by now..
You all commenting definitely didn't read the story. These teenagers, read!
Read stories before commenting. Innocent people have been killed just because of false alarm.
Thank God.
There’s nothing that Musa will not hear at the gate…! How can a mother allow a 10-month old baby to be “transported” in that manner? God why?
Putting the child in such inhumane condition, the mother isn't normal.
I don’t understand this, why should the child ride inside the dispatch container? Something is not right, it either the mother and the dispatcher have motives
Inside a delivery box?
