The Biafra Republic Government In-Exile has urged the Nigerian federal government to withdraw all checkpoints in Southeast and Biafra territory. Simon Ekpa, who is known as the Prime Minister of BRGIE disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday while speaking in an X space.

According to him, the Nigerian government should be blamed for the crisis in the southeast because it militarised the region. He clarified that Biafra ns want lasting peace in their region hence the Nigerian government should demilitarise the southeast. 'We are against the Nigerian state for militarising Biafra . Those claiming we are violent should blame the Nigerian state.

'They brought violence while we defend ourselves. We demand to withdraw the military and dismantle all checkpoints in Biafra territory', he said. Recall on May 30 that the Nigerian security forces declared a manhunt for unknown gunmen that killed five soldiers in Aba.
