The Kano State Executive Council had on Monday approved the immediate removal of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II.
He said the removal of the monarch followed alleged disrespect to lawful instructions by the state governor. But Yakasi via his Twitter handle, @dawisu, said Sanusi would be kept in exile and would not have his freedom as expected.
I think the best thing is for this man to go to court get his throne back..
Sanusi hasnt committed any crimes. He is free to exercise his freedom as he chooses. He is not bound by any traditions but Nigeria's constitution.

Pure rubbish - if you have exercised your executive right to dethrone and the emir has been removed, that's end it. SLS should sort relief through the court on his fundamental rights. You cannot after removing him cage him also - even prisoner do have visitors.

They are deceiving themselves. The Court of Appeal have settled this in AG of Kebbi State V Jokolo that the banishment of an emir is a breach of his rights as enshrined in the constitution. I just downloaded and read the judgment. Paragraph 17 specifically addressed that.
So you can still denied him of his fundamental human rights after banishing him from your state, it means kano state government will station securities to be guiding him till the end of his life. Just like to waste tax payers money.
