Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has condemned the deployment of soldiers to quell protests at the Lekki tollgate in Lagos. EndSARS

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has condemned the deployment of soldiers to quell protests at the Lekki tollgate in Lagos.

He said history had shown that killing protesters only worsens the crisis and makes dialogue impossible. “It is clear that Mr President and his lieutenants did not exhaust the opportunities for dialogue with the protesters before resorting to the use of force.”Obasanjo said it was worse despite overwhelming evidence, the authorities were still denying ever killing protesters. He called on President to take swift actions before things spiral out of control.

He said most of the demands made by #EndSARS protesters which had been conveyed to the President by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State were not unrealistic.

If Fulani thinks starting a war in Yoruba will bring an end to Nigeria, we youths are ready. And Sanwo-olu joined hand to kill our youths because of BRT buses and money you lost in Lekki toll gate remember we are ready to have a new Nation where other lives will be well-valued.

Your voice ain’t needed please

Thats correct. You also deployed soldiers to wipe out a whole town at Odi

This old man sent soldiers to level Odi

Are we sure the soldiers are not fake organised by the separatist force of MaziNnamdiKanu just to give chance for the destructive action of IPOB.

Just as he condemned what he did in Odi

The hypocrisy in our so called elders ehn.when all this started they were mute, instead to soro soke like elders and do the needful they didn't, now wey things don ugly dey come out dey spew trash. Abeg make una pack well.

Birds of the same feather

Has he forgotten what he did to they Tiv people 2yrs ago.its 2yrs today.history has repeated itself over 200 men where killed and the wife’s and children watched the soldiers killed their fathers and the women watched them killed they husband.

Why is Mbuhari not saying anything

Haba Oga,what you did in Gbeji,Zaki Biam and Odi is still fresh in our minds!

We still remember Odi. Nonsense and ingredient 🙄

Tell this old man to shut up because he would have done the same thing....... Nonsense

Baba iyabo orie pe

Thanks baba

Follow me I follow back.EndSARS

Yes the same Obj that sent soldiers to wipe out Odi and Zakibiam

But he sent soldiers to level Odi.

Obasanjo? Condemned deployment of soldiers to quell riot and demonstrations? On which moral platform is he standing to speak on this? Chaaaaiii! Truly, the gods are not to blame!

See mumu when people are died in North what you said.

Where was he all this while

I think the condemnation should always be a two-way thing. The ex-President should also condemn those who have taken laws into their hands to kill innocent police officers, loot and destroy private and public properties.

Na Amotekun and neighborhood vigilante em deploy to Odi for that infamous massacre abi? If not that I don't like to disrespect elders, ehn....

Baba I know you will do the worst

They are all aligned up on this issue Where was he when Nigeria failed under him as both military and civil ruler... endsars EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria EndSWAT

Everybody dey condemn.... How about you guys start rolling out solutions to the demands for a change

Baba Ogun kill you there, you cause us this problem were facing today?

But the massacre of odi town was not condemnable.
