In its avowed determination to finish strong and complete ongoing projects before the expiration of its lifespan, the Delta State Government has announced the termination of the nine-year old contract for ‘Sector A’ of the Ughelli-Asaba dual carriageway, claiming unsatisfactory performance by the contractor handling the project.
The contract was awarded by the administration of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan nine years ago, in 2013, but the contractor had not lived up to the terms of the contract, the commissioner said. “We have not only repudiated it, we have also approved the award of that project to another contractor immediately.”
7+ years in government, didn't notice the slow pace of the contractor, just a few months to the expiration of this tenure, you are terminating and re-awarding the road contract.
Don't mind them after they will say is 50 billion give it to J B like wike do in ph, we are not so poor, keep constructing roads that don't last 1 year, will you guys die if u do the right thing for once.
Rubbing coal tar on top ground that one road construction be that?
