Worried by the upsurge in rival cult clashes in Orhohworun and other neighbouring communities in the Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, concerned residents have sent a Save-Our-Souls message to the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, calling for his urgent over alleged threats to their lives.
According to the statement, the people can no longer cope with the fear, intimidation and harassment they have been subjected to in the last four years when the cult clashes started. According to the petitioners, the spate of killings and destruction of properties in the area started recently in Orhuwhorun and later escalated to Mofor Motor Park, where innocent people were killed and several others wounded.
