The Federal High Court in Abuja has postponed its judgement on the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party seeking to declare the seat of the Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, and his deputy, Ivara Esu, vacant.
Although the court did not adduce any reason why it postponed the verdict, it notified the parties about the new date through the cause list. In its prayers, the PDP had asked the court to sack both Ayade and Esu, contending that the duo, having abandoned the political party that sponsored their re-election, ought to vacate their respective offices.
It prayed the court to order the Independent National Electoral Commission to immediately receive the names of its candidates to replace Ayade and Esu, from it.

Hah, mr. President in action. The guy just reserved punishment for the last minutes Some were sacked for defecting more is still coming. Lesson learned. Whether good or bad, uphold integrity and stay in your party, the focus is moving the country forward
Why ?
You were supposed to be the best seating Governor but cos of the ceiling promises by APC you now defected why you know the consequences of what may follow 😂😂😂😂😂
The law clearly states you can only defect when the party is divided and last time I checked, there are no divisions within the party, their seat should be vacated,we need these judgements as deterrents
This is serious... My governor in pot of soup...
