WHO warns government of increasing dearth of health workers. WHO health

Urges govts to prioritise investments in education, others

In a statement issued ahead of its 75th anniversary on April 7, the organisation called on governments and leaders to take action to protect and invest in health workers and other caregivers, who are at the forefront of the response to health and climate emergencies.

According to the Director-General of WHO, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, the history of WHO demonstrates what is possible when nations come together for a common purpose. To meet the challenges, WHO urges countries to take urgent action to protect, support and expand the health workforce as a strategic priority.

The warnings are useless because we all know what's going on. As long as there are spots for our people to fill abroad the trend will continue. Nigeria cannot compensate workers like those countries. How is WHO helping?
