The Coalition of United Political Parties has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, saying its first year in office has been marked by unfulfilled promises and worsening economic and security conditions.

“Because we are not a destructive opposition Coalition, we have also had the cause to commend the government whenever they take the right actions for the benefit of Nigerias and in the overall interest of Nigeria. Constructive criticisms predicated on sound intellection have always been our modus operandi.

“What we have had in the last one year is hope ruined and poverty weaponized as if to punish Nigerians for the electoral choice they made during last year’s presidential election. “Nigeria is a captured nation by internal and external retrogressive forces of insatiable and rapacious appetite for the mortgaging of Nigeria’s commonwealth in the service of personal aggrandizement.”Adebayo lamented that the government’s removal of fuel subsidy has caused economic hardship for many Nigerians, and that the country’s currency has lost value.
