There was apprehension when a cult leader, Chima Ibe was shot, killed and burnt Tuesday by gunmen who trailed him to a pub in Alakahia.
Before these incidents, there have been killings and beheading in the two communities despite hosting a Police Area Command. Spokesman for the Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni told DAILY POST in Port Harcourt, that the killings are reprisal attacks by rival cult groups. While calling on the people of Alakahia to remain peaceful, the police spokesman said the command has beefed up security in the area to manage the situation.
