The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Sunday said COVID-tests conducted in facilities within its molecular laboratory network were free.

The clarification came at a time some parents of pupils in private secondary schools in Ogun State protested the request of N25,000 COVID-19 test fee by the government.

But the NCDC listed 61 laboratories nationwide as those who are currently within the network where such tests could be conducted free.My sister once signed petition to restrict movement of trailers in Lagos – Brother of lady crushed by fallen container “Kindly note that COVID-19 tests conducted in facilities within the NCDC molecular laboratory network are free of charge .”

Others are Lawrence Henshaw Memorial, Calabar, Cross Rivers; UCTH Laboratory; Delta Mobile Laboratory, Delta; Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Ebonyi; Irua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Edo; University of Benin Teaching Hospital; Edo Specialist Hospital, Benin; Ekiti – 54gene, Ekiti; University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Laboratory; and University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Molecular Virology Laboratory.
