COVID-19: Plateau State now ‘hot spot’ – Buhari govt raises alarm

The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, has described Plateau State as the epicentre of coronavirus.

Dr. Sani Aliyu, Coordinator of PTF, said Plateau State was the current “hot spot” of COVID-19 in Nigeria. Speaking during the task force daily briefing in Abuja, yesterday, Aliyu said more cases of the virus are being confirmed daily. He explained that Plateau State was leading in confirmed cases because more residents are being tested.

According to Aliyu: “We are seeing a gradual shift in the areas of high infection burden, with Plateau reporting the highest number of confirmed cases.
