COVID-19: Peter Obi asks elected officers to return to their constituencies

Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, also expressed concern over the plight of vulnerable and unemployed Nigerians whose survival is tied to their day-to-day activities.

According to Obi in a statement made available to DAILY POST from his media office and signed by Valentine Obienyem, his Media Adviser, “there are several millions of our populace who are unemployed and underemployed, whose means of livelihood depends on daily income which the present situation will definitely worsen.”

According to the one-time Anambra State Governor, “it would be counter-productive to keep only the elite in mind when taking such far-reaching decisions as closing down markets without having some cushioning measures for the traders.”

This is the right thing to do. Their constituencies need them now than ever. Otherwise during elections they should remain wherever they are.

So they can bring disease to them. They refuse to show up since 2019 and you want them to go to the now. So the can spread the CoronaVirusInNigeria COVID19Nigeria

They will not o... Bc, nothing to show...

You say what?

To do what. Let them remain at the house they want to renovate with billions of naira

You're absolutely right sir, they should be treated in their constuencies if found to be positive.

.....especially those already tested positive. Let them go to their constituency and get medical attention from their respective general hospitals. We thank God, there will be no flight to jet out as usual
