The governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has announced the imposition of a nine-hour curfew in the State to help check the spread of Covid-19.

Jahun Local Government council in Jigawa State has imposed N2,000 fine on anybody caught defecating openly across the Local Government Area.

He said the meeting was aimed at sensitizing traditional rulers on how best they can communicate to their masses on the danger of defecating openly. DAILY POST reported that traditional leaders in the affected Local Governments have embarked on a mass sensitization campaign against open defecation.
