The Management of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State has sent its workers on “temporary cessation” until further notice following the effect of the COVID-19 on the busine

ss.sighted a letter issued by the management of the OOPL and signed by the Head of Human Resource, Administration and Procurement, Olanike Ogunleye.

A worker who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “They owe us salaries since last year. They will pay one month’s salary and pay the next one three or four months later. It was gathered that apart from some top staff members, cleaners and security guards were most affected by the “temporary lay-off.”

“This temporary cessation is effective from May 31, 2020, and until business picks up and you are recalled back to work, please note that you are not eligible for any payment during this period of cessation.”

Truely is not easy for all private sectors to meet up with their demands but Baba pls kindly consider this people, if library it'sself can not pay but you 'baba wa' you can give them something reasonable from your own personal pocket as palliative, they're your people sir...

In all sincerity we all know It's really hard for all this private sector My problem is What then becomes the source of livelihood for these workers? It is heartbreaking Ifb 😉
