Lagos State in the South-west Nigeria recorded more than half of the daily infections in Nigeria with 312 new cases, while Akwa Ibom State in the South-south region followed with 89 cases and Edo State with 71 cases.

Rivers State recorded 47 cases to rank fourth in contrast to the 217 cases reported a day earlier, followed by Ekiti and Plateau States with 20 cases each, while Delta and Kwara states registered 15 and 13 cases respectively.
